Choristers of Byzantine choir Eirmos at Vatopedi

An 11-member group of choristers of the psaltic academy Eirmos paid a three-day pilgrimage to the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi last week.
Eirmos is the only youth Byzantine choir in Greece, under the direction of Spyridonas Aspiotis.
The choir performed the hymns of the Divine Liturgy of the Pre-sanctified Gifts on Friday, which included the second stanza of the Akathist Hymn, within the Second Salutations of the Theotokos, the Virgin Mary.
On Saturday, the choir performed the hymns and chants at an All-Night Vigil in commemoration of St. Gregory Palamas, Archbishop of Thessaloniki.
The young choristers spoke with and received the blessing of the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
