The performance of excerpts from the trilogy “Grand Hours”, which took place last September at the Herod Atticus Odeon of Athens, has been posted on Youtube.
The State Orchestra of Athens, conducted by Stathis Soulis, accompanied by 100 choristers from three separate choirs, along with artists Glykeria, Dimitris Bassis, Eleanna Varela and Jonathan Jackson, the Emmy-award winning US musician and actor, performed excerpts from the oratorio by composer Andreas Katsigiannis.
The latter is based on his work “Place of Silence” and is dedicated to the memory of St. Joseph the Hysechast.
Greek stage actor Nikitas Tsakiroglou narrated.
The event was produced by the St. Maximus the Greek Institute, while the Pemptousia platform was a sponsor of the musical event.
