Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III receives ‘Man of God’ film director Yelena Popovic

The Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Theophilos III, on Wednesday received, at the Patriarchate’s see in the Holy City, the director and screenwriter of the award-winning film “Man of God”, Yelena Popovic. The film is based on the life, works and tribulations of St. Nektarios of Aegina.

The film, which has been shown in movie theaters around the world and has set ticket sale records in Greece and Cyprus, will premiere on Greek television tomorrow, Friday, with the broadcast scheduled in the evening by the Athens-based Ant1 channel.

Producers of the film include the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi and the St. Maximus the Greek Institute.
