Georgian-language books published by the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi

A presentation of four Georgian-language books, published by the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi, was held this week in Tbilisi.
In addressing numerous attendees, the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Monastery, referred to Mount Athos, where the venerable monastery was founded in the 10th century, the ceaseless prayers of the monks for salvation of the entire world, and to the Holy Services conducted day and night, reminding that Mount Athos is under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, a particular blessing.

The books were edited by Georgian parishioners of the Exaltation of the True Cross cathedral in Tbilisi, with the authors referring to the significant support offered by the Vatopedi monastery towards the spiritual cultivation of the Orthodox faithful in the ancient land of Georgia.

On his part, the All-Reverend Elder Ephraim cited the illuminating examples of saintly Mount Athos elders and the spiritual legacies left to the monastic brotherhoods, for which the latter now bear great responsibility.
