HE set HIS LOVE before me

I have not yet seen Jesus face to face,

but I have felt His love and heard His voice,

a cloud of witnesses – I hear the noise –

because He called me, saved me by His grace,

and draws me to Himself and His embrace.

It is by grace, and not by my own choice,

He set His love before me and these joys

so I would want to run this course and race.

It is by faith, for when the race began,

I neither saw the angels taking wing,

ascending and descending on this Man,

nor saw His hands and side, nor anything.

But when I felt His love for me, I ran

toward my Savior’s arms, my God and King.
